Week 14

Week 14 marked my last week as an intern in the RBL Accounting and Auditing Service. This week, we focused on relief and validation for our clients. With the due date approaching, we had to work double-time to ensure we completed the tasks on schedule. To accommodate the increased workload, our work hours were adjusted from 8am-5pm to 8am-10pm. For this task, we opened the BIRELIEF23 program from a flash drive and clicked on the sales for January to February. We then verified that the input tax and total amount encoded matched the printed paper of the VAT computation. If they matched, we proceeded to validate the sales and purchases per month. After validation, we printed the export sales and purchases of the clients and submitted the papers to Ate Ella, who is in charge of paying the BIR. I had an amazing journey during this OJT, and it taught me many valuable lessons that I'll treasure as I enter the workforce after graduation.

Week 13

This week is Holy Week, so we only need to go to the office from Monday to Wednesday morning. From Monday to Tuesday, I did overtime from 8am to 10pm to finish some tasks because April 16 is the deadline. We need to ensure that everything is submitted on time. Our tasks are the same as previous weeks, which involve completing the SPJ for clients. Luckily, all the tasks that need to be done are completed, so we can really rest during Holy Week. Having this Holy Week break is our chance to recharge and rest after exhausting weeks, and to catch up on some much-needed sleep.

Week 12

This week was a continuation of last week's tasks, which involved completing the SPJ for clients for February and March. Additionally, I worked on the e-sales of clients towards the end of the week. The key difference this week was the urgency to complete the SPJ tasks quickly due to the upcoming deadline on April 15. Thankfully, we were able to complete all the SPJ tasks for the clients, as well as finish the e-sales tasks. One major adjustment we made this week was having overtime, with our work hours extended from 8am to 10pm. This experience made me realize that in this line of work, where multiple deadlines need to be met, working overtime is often necessary to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Week 11

This week, my tasks involve making journals and ledgers, scanning, editing files, and conducting inventory. Specifically, I am working on the journal and ledger for the 2024 working papers of our clients. I am also continuing to scan annual ITR files for clients to compile them into a book, which will be submitted through the EAFS website. Additionally, I am editing files for corporations, which includes updating client names and addresses. I have also created folders for the 2025 books of each client, with each folder containing sections for cash disbursements, inventory, purchases, sales, and journals. These folders will be used to store all client files for 2025. Lastly, I am conducting inventory for January and February. First, I need to verify if the client's flash drive contains VAT computation and subsidiary sales journal files for the specified months. Once confirmed, I will copy and paste the information from these files into the 2025 working papers. If the working paper...
