Week 6

Image
For Week 6 of my internship, I continued working on income tax returns for various clients, a task I started in the previous week. This week, I completed the income tax returns for three clients. Additionally, I was assigned to validate the uncleared expenses of one of our clients. My task involves identifying any discrepancies. To accomplish this, I need to gather data from 2023, including working papers, system records, and relief documents.

Week 5

For this entire week, we are tasked with preparing the Income Tax Returns (ITRs) for our clients. This task involves reviewing the clients' working papers to ensure that their income, cash flow, and balance sheets are accurate and balanced. Next, we will transfer the data from the working papers to the clients' ITR files, which comprise the FS, Notes, Tax, and ITR sheets. Finally, we will complete Form 1701, the Annual Income Tax Return form. Once we have finished, we will photocopy all relevant forms, including Forms 1601C, 2550Q, 1601E, and 1701Q.

Week 4

Since Sir Jannver was still on leave, I took the initiative to finish the tasks he assigned to me before he left. I spent three days completing all the tasks, including registering the book of accounts. For the remaining days of the week, I worked on the Validation Report for e-Submission and the Summary of Alphalist 1601EQ. I'm happy to have had the opportunity to try different tasks beyond my usual tasks, such as using UROS.

MY WEEK 3

Image
It's my third week as an intern at RBL, and I started the week on Tuesday since we were absent on Monday for our pictorial day. When we returned to the office, it was the day the employees decided to clean and rearrange the office to make it cleaner and more spacious. So, what we did that day was help them. We also sorted the files that were still needed and organized every client document. On the next day, I began working on a transmittal report. My task involved scanning documents for one of the company's client, which included receipts from 2016 to 2022, financial statements, and BIR forms. The purpose of creating this report was to have a copy of these documents for the company's records since the originals would be returned to the client. I spent around two days scanning nearly three boxes of documents for this single client. It was a challenging task, but I'm glad I was able to complete it efficiently. Then on Thursday, Sir Jannver, who taught me how to use ORUS, ...

Week 2: First week at RBL Accounting and Auditing Services

(January 27-31, 2025): As i stepped into my second week as an intern at RBL Accounting and Auditing Services, i couldn't help but feel excited mixed with a little bit of nervousness. Our team had chosen this company for our 550-hour internship. To prepare for the day, I woke up early, got ready, and packed my snacks and lunch. As i arrived at the office, I was warmly welcomed by Miss Ella, one of the employees. She took the time to chat with us, making us feel at ease and helping to calm our nerves. As the day went on, the rest of the employees arrived, and we were assigned our tasks. My responsibility was to get familiar with the ORUS website, which is used to register books of accounts required by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). At first, I felt a bit overwhelmed by the numerous steps involved, but luckily, I was given a step-by-step guide to ensure I completed the task accurately. Since the first quarter of the year is a busy time for the company, with many deadlines t...
